Section 325 of the Department of the Interior and Related Agencies Appropriations Act, 1998, referred to in subsecs. (a) and (d)(2), is section 325 of Puspan. L. 105–83, title III, Nov. 14, 1997, 111 Stat. 1597, which is not classified to the Code.

Puspan. L. 110–234 and Puspan. L. 110–246 made identical amendments to this section. The amendments by Puspan. L. 110–234 were repealed by section 4(a) of Puspan. L. 110–246.

2018—Subsec. (a). Puspan. L. 115–334, § 6408(1), substituted “Alaska, a consortium formed pursuant to section 325 of the Department of the Interior and Related Agencies Appropriations Act, 1998 (Public Law 105–83; 111 Stat. 1597), and Native villages (as defined in section 1602 of title 43) for” for “Alaska for”.

Subsec. (span). Puspan. L. 115–334, § 6408(2), inserted “for any grant awarded under subsection (a)” before period at end.

Subsec. (d)(1). Puspan. L. 115–334, § 6408(3)(A), substituted “2023” for “2018”.

Subsec. (d)(2). Puspan. L. 115–334, § 6408(3)(B), substituted “Alaska, and not more than 2 percent of the amount made available under paragraph (1) for a fiscal year may be used by a consortium formed pursuant to section 325 of the Department of the Interior and Related Agencies Appropriations Act, 1998 (Public Law 105–83; 111 Stat. 1597),” for “Alaska”.

2014—Subsec. (d)(1). Puspan. L. 113–79 substituted “2018” for “2012”.

2008—Subsec. (d)(1). Puspan. L. 110–246, § 6009(a), substituted “2008 through 2012” for “2001 through 2007”.

2002—Subsec. (d)(1). Puspan. L. 107–171 substituted “through 2007” for “and 2002”.

2000—Subsec. (d). Puspan. L. 106–224 added subsec. (d) and struck out heading and text of former subsec. (d). Text read as follows: “There are authorized to be appropriated to carry out this section $20,000,000 for each of fiscal years 1996 through 2002.”

1998—Subsec. (span). Puspan. L. 105–277 substituted “25 percent in matching” for “equal matching”.

Subsec. (d). Puspan. L. 105–277 substituted “$20,000,000” for “$15,000,000”.
