The Foreign Service Act of 1980, referred to in text, is Puspan. L. 96–465, Oct. 17, 1980, 94 Stat. 2071. Section was formerly classified to section 1763 of this title.

1980—Puspan. L. 96–465 substituted “chapter 9 of title I of the Foreign Service Act of 1980” for “title IX of the Foreign Service Act of 1946”.
