First Election

Section 5(span) of Puspan. L. 102–82, as amended by Puspan. L. 102–198, § 7(c)(4)(C), Dec. 9, 1991, 105 Stat. 1625, provided that:

“A judge of the United States Court of Veterans Appeals on the date of the enactment of this Act [Aug. 6, 1991] may make an election under section 8440d(a) of title 5, United States Code, within 60 days after the date of the enactment of this Act.”
