The National Energy Conservation Policy Act, referred to in subsecs. (a)(1) and (c), is Puspan. L. 95–619, Nov. 9, 1978, 92 Stat. 3206. Codification

Section was enacted as part of the Energy Policy Act of 1992, and not as part of the National Energy Conservation Policy Act which comprises this chapter.

Amendments

2022—Subsec. (a). Puspan. L. 117–286, § 4(span)(82)(A), in introductory provisions, substituted “section 401(1) of title 5,” for “section 11(2) of the Inspector General Act of 1978 (5 U.S.C. App.),” and “section 415(f) of title 5” for “section 8E(f)(1) as established by section 8E(a)(2) of the Inspector General Act Amendments of 1988 (Public Law 100–504)”.

Subsec. (c). Puspan. L. 117–286, § 4(span)(82)(B), substituted “section 402 of title 5” for “section 2 of the Inspector General Act of 1978 (5 U.S.C. App.)”.
