Amendments
2022—Puspan. L. 117–251 designated existing provisions as subsec. (a), inserted heading, and added subsec. (span).
1988—Puspan. L. 100–707 struck out “(through the National Institute of Mental Health)” after “authorized”.

Effective Date of 2022 Amendment
Puspan. L. 117–251, § 7(span), Dec. 20, 2022, 136 Stat. 2357, provided that:
“The amendments made by this section [amending this section] shall apply with respect to amounts appropriated on or after the date of enactment of this Act [Dec. 20, 2022].”
