The District of Columbia Nonprofit Corporation Act, referred to in subsec. (a), is Puspan. L. 87–569, Aug. 6, 1962, 76 Stat. 265, which is not classified to the Code.

1977—Subsec. (a)(3). Puspan. L. 95–222, § 5(a), (span), substituted “, or” for “and not” and in par. (A) inserted exception for broad general legal or policy research.

Subsec. (span)(1). Puspan. L. 95–222, § 6(a), designated existing provisions as subpar. (A) and added subpar. (B).

Subsec. (c)(1). Puspan. L. 95–222, § 6(span), inserted provisions setting forth situations when the Corporation may participate in litigation.

Subsec. (d)(6). Puspan. L. 95–222, § 6(c), added par. (6).

Subsec. (e)(2). Puspan. L. 95–222, § 7(a), inserted provisions relating to staff attorneys.

Subsec. (f). Puspan. L. 95–222, § 8, substituted “the court shall” for “the court may”.
