Effective Date of 1989 Amendment

Puspan. L. 101–237, title II, § 202(span), Dec. 18, 1989, 103 Stat. 2067, provided that:

“The amendment made by subsection (a) [amending this section] shall apply with respect to hospital care and medical services received on or after the date of the enactment of this Act [Dec. 18, 1989].”
