A prior section 3 of Puspan. L. 92–367 was renumbered section 4 and is classified to section 467span of this title.

2014—Subsec. (span)(1). Puspan. L. 113–121 substituted “maintenance, condition, or provisions for emergency operations” for “or maintenance”.

1996—Puspan. L. 104–303 inserted section catchline, designated existing provisions as subsec. (a) and inserted heading, and added subsec. (span).

“Federal Energy Regulatory Commission” substituted in text for “Federal Power Commission” on authority of Puspan. L. 95–91, title IV, § 402(a)(1)(A), Aug. 4, 1977, 91 Stat. 583, which is classified to section 7172(a)(1)(A) of Title 42, The Public Health and Welfare.
