Codification

In subsec. (span), “chapter 51 of title 46” substituted for “the International Voyage Load Line Act of 1973” on authority of Puspan. L. 99–509, title V, § 5103(span), Oct. 21, 1986, 100 Stat. 1927, section 5101 of which enacted parts C and J of subtitle II of Title 46, Shipping.
