1980—Puspan. L. 96–304 substituted “prescribed by the Committee on Rules and Administration” for “in effect under section 5702 of title 5, for employees of agencies” in two places.

1978—Puspan. L. 95–355 substituted provisions relating to applicability of rates under section 5702 of title 5, for employees of agencies, for provisions setting forth specific rates of $35 and $50 per day, respectively, for travel expenses.

1977—Puspan. L. 95–94 inserted provisions relating to applicability to per diem or actual travel expenses incurred by a Senator or his employee reimbursed under section 58 of this title.

1975—Puspan. L. 94–22 substituted “$35” and “$50” for “$25” and “$40”, respectively.

1969—Puspan. L. 91–114 increased maximum per diem rate from $16 to $25 and actual expense rate from $30 to $40.

1961—Puspan. L. 87–139 increased maximum per diem rate from $12 to $16 and actual expense rate from $25 to $30.
