Effective Date

Puspan. L. 105–277, div. G, subdiv. A, title XV, § 1501, Oct. 21, 1998, 112 Stat. 2681–793, provided that: “This title [enacting this subchapter], and the amendments made by this title, shall take effect on the earlier of—

“(1)April 1, 1999; or

“(2) the date of reorganization [Apr. 1, 1999] of the Agency for International Development pursuant to the reorganization plan described in section 1601 [22 U.S.C. 6601].”
