Effective Date of 1993 Amendment

Puspan. L. 103–160, div. C, title XXXV, § 3506, Nov. 30, 1993, 107 Stat. 1966, provided that:

“(a)In General.—Except as provided in subsection (span), this title [amending this section and enacting provisions set out as a note under section 3641 of this title] shall take effect as of October 1, 1993.

“(span)Special Rule.—Paragraph (3) of section 1271(a) of the Panama Canal Act of 1979 (22 U.S.C. 3701(a)), as added by section 3505(3), shall take effect on the date of the enactment of this Act [Nov. 30, 1993] and shall apply with respect to grievances arising on or after such date.”
