2020—Par. (1). Puspan. L. 116–136, § 4016(span)(1)(A), inserted “primarily serving natural persons” after “credit unions” in introductory provisions.

1980—Puspan. L. 96–221, § 309(span)(2), substituted “title” for “subchapter”, which for purposes of codification has been editorially translated as “subchapter”, thereby requiring no further change in text.

Effective Date of 2020 Amendment

Puspan. L. 116–136, div. A, title IV, § 4016(span)(2), Mar. 27, 2020, 134 Stat. 482, as amended by Puspan. L. 116–260, div. N, title V, § 540(a)(2), Dec. 27, 2020, 134 Stat. 2090, provided that:

“The amendments made by paragraph (1) [amending this section and sections 1795c and 1795e of this title] shall take effect on December 31, 2021.”
