The date of the enactment of this subsection, referred to in subsec. (span)(2)(B), is the date of enactment of Puspan. L. 115–91, which was approved Dec. 12, 2017.

Section 1261(c)(2) of the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2013, referred to in subsec. (f)(1)(A), is section 1261(c)(2) of Puspan. L. 112–239, which is set out in a note under section 2778 of Title 22, Foreign Relations and Intercourse.

Prior Provisions

Effective Date of 2017 Amendment

Puspan. L. 115–91, div. A, title XVI, § 1603(e), Dec. 12, 2017, 131 Stat. 1723, provided that:

“Except as otherwise specifically provided, the amendments made by this section [amending this section] shall apply with respect to contracts for satellite services awarded by the Secretary of Defense on or after the date of the enactment of this Act [Dec. 12, 2017].”
